Petr Vanicek - General Manager
HOTELPRO, Ltd.
Mr Vanicek graduated from the Universtity of Economy in Prague. He co-established GTS
International in 1991 – one of the five largest travel agents in the Czech Republic. He was
responsible for 7 years for the incoming division of the company. In 1998 he took over operation
of hotel Anna in the center of Prague and started developing the Small Charming Hotels concept.
Implementation of the concept contributed greatly to the almost 45% revenue increase of hotel Anna
comparing years 1998 and 2001. In 2001, under his management, the company added to its portfolio
two more hotels – the Elite and the Depandance Anna. Mr Vanicek is now responsible for overall
management of the HOTELPRO company.
Klara Vanickova - Director of the Best Western Hotel Meteor Plaza
Mrs Vanickova graduated from the Charles University in Prague in 1993. Apart of being a lawyer,
she has an extensive senior level management experience. She was during years 1996-99, vice chairman
of the supervisory boards of Ceska Pojistovna, a.s. (market leader insurance company in the country)
and of Zapadoceska Plynarenska, a.s. (gas distributor for western part of the country) during 1995-2000.
After maternity she worked as Risk Manager in CSOB Leasing, a.s. (country market leader in leasing
segment). Mrs Vanickova was also responsible for HOTELPRO´S legal and development matters for several
years. As from May 2003 she took over management of the Best Western Hotel Meteor Plaza (operated
by HOTELPRO) and is responsible for its overall operation.
Katerina Malkova - Director of Hotel Anna Prague
Mrs Malkova was educated at the Hotel College in Prague. She began her hospitality and catering
career as Catering Manager of the national exclusive Mercedes Benz importer. She joined hotel Anna
in 1994 and took the position of Reservations Manager, being responsible for reservations, sales
and reception. During 2001 she was appointed Resident Manager taking care of complete operation
of hotel Anna. She focuses her attention on securing personalized service of her associates
to the customer and creation of a family feeling at the hotel. During her management career
the Anna hotel was twice recommended to readership by The New York Times and The Times.
